BUS STAND SHOWCASE AT ORCHARD YMCA I

My NAFA friends actually intended to drop by *scape together after school but it was called off and I bumped into Shannon and Matt outside the canteen before meeting Linda to go home together.. BUT! We actually decided to drop by YMCA on our way to the train station. =)

The feeling was amazing! I saw the perspective of the trees from a distance and it felt like real at first sight! Everyone was excited and I felt a sense of trill to see my work displayed in the big advertisement panel.. I'm so gonna come back for better photos someday this week, but I'm really greatful that my friends were there with me! Thanks Matt for the photos! (P.S.: Abo joined us after her class!)

NOISE EXHIBITION AT *SCAPE YOUTH PARK

FINALLY! The day has come.
Today was the first day of the exhibition and I was feeling extremely excited about it! My boy was sweet enough to accompany me to my first exhibition and I've got his Canon 5D to do some documentation.

Meeting my old man was strange.. It feels like seeing my character right in front of me and meeting them like they were real.. I felt really lucky to have my work showcased at such scale and I'm really thankful for everyone behind this project especially Noise Singapore! Here's some of the photos from the exhibition!

VECTOR ILLUSTRATION - BIRTHDAY INVITATION

Untitled-4

7 August 2010 / Illustrator + InDesign

My boyfriend will be having his 21st Birthday BBQ Party around the corner, so I suggested a personalised thumbnail for his digital invitation on Facebook, but I was rather busy with my school lately which held up the process. It was an eleventh hour job actually from the planning to the finals. I really hopes that he'll like it although I know he surely do. Can't wait for the next project on his birthday tokens and guestbook! (we're still counting the heads..)

A SCOLECIPHOBIC CHICKEN

Phobia 01

4 August 2010 / Pencil + Acrylic

Scoleciphobic was the phobia of worms, an assignment that I'm working on in school lately. We were to illustrate two illustrations on a particular phobia and I have chosen my worst fear ever since my last encounter with worms..

Arcylic was used for this illustration and it was my first experience using Acrylic on illustration rather than using them for traditional paintings. The story was an ironic one where the chicken, which is suppose to eat worms like any other chicken (the very nature of a bird), is afraid of it's own food. How will it be like if you fear milk when you were a baby? It actually bring out the contrast of the phobia by forcing a crab to walk forward..
