This illustration was done as a tribute to Yiting's first birthday early this year but was yet to complete it with colours till today. Read the last article for the details of the party! Anyway, I've placed the illustration in frame as a little belated pressie for our little girl! =)

Here's an artwork that I'm working on currently.. It's taking me so long since early this year. Maybe because now my tress have branches! haha.. Still learning how I should add colours to my drawings. Or should they remain the way they are, black and white? =/

MY FIRST PRINT BY MALL

It's our fourth anniversary today and I got my first print by Mall from my guy as an anniversary gift! Well, she one of the very best illustrator & photographer that I idolize and her works were really great!! I can never paint like her... Maybe I can but many many years later with many many practice? Simply love her works and the print quality looks like a real painting. I wish I could comission Mall one day but I've got to save up in order to do that.. poor student days~ I ♥ Mall!

ILLUSTRATION - A CHILD'S WISH

A Child's Wish was created in year 2010 but was yet to complete until recently! Ink hatching was used for the branches and I tried a new perspective which was different from the usual drawings.

I've decided recently to create a series of trees related drawings and hopefully one day all of them can come together into a gallery. That's a BIG wish I have. The project shall be named "Dreams of Trees" and in chinese it will be called 《夢語·樹》, which is deeply inspired from my recent Taiwan trip when I found chinese could be interestingly short but deep with meanings. The characters of the words were traditional writings which I thought were beautiful as a form. The direct translation of the title in Chinese would be "Dream Languages of Trees" which have the similar pronunciation to "Dreams and Trees" in chinese.

T-SHIRT DESIGN FOR THE STUDIO LOFT

This is the first project that I'm working on for my internship with The Studio Loft! They are preparing a t-shirt for a local Motherhood Fair in Expo and this will be the t-shirt that we will be wearing to represent ourselves as The Studio Loft~ Photo Credit from The Studio Loft.
