VECTOR ILLUSTRATION - BIRTHDAY INVITATION

Untitled-4

7 August 2010 / Illustrator + InDesign

My boyfriend will be having his 21st Birthday BBQ Party around the corner, so I suggested a personalised thumbnail for his digital invitation on Facebook, but I was rather busy with my school lately which held up the process. It was an eleventh hour job actually from the planning to the finals. I really hopes that he'll like it although I know he surely do. Can't wait for the next project on his birthday tokens and guestbook! (we're still counting the heads..)

A SCOLECIPHOBIC CHICKEN

Phobia 01

4 August 2010 / Pencil + Acrylic

Scoleciphobic was the phobia of worms, an assignment that I'm working on in school lately. We were to illustrate two illustrations on a particular phobia and I have chosen my worst fear ever since my last encounter with worms..

Arcylic was used for this illustration and it was my first experience using Acrylic on illustration rather than using them for traditional paintings. The story was an ironic one where the chicken, which is suppose to eat worms like any other chicken (the very nature of a bird), is afraid of it's own food. How will it be like if you fear milk when you were a baby? It actually bring out the contrast of the phobia by forcing a crab to walk forward..

A SERIES OF SHORT FLIMS

Short flims were mainly interesting when we need an instant dose of destressing pills but a healthy one. I've watch some lately on Facebook and I find they quite entertaining in many ways. Mostly were animations, while some were actings, mainly meaningful in their own unique way and they spread the messages better than anything else.

This one below remind me of Wall-E, I thought the actions of the puppy was very well depicted and way better than Wall-E. Wall-E could be better if the flim was a short one.

The next one below is a really simple stop motion animation but it has a meaningful touch to the story which caught my interest, I simply love it!

Partly Cloudy's graphics was really nice like every other Disney Pixar's short animations. This video here is just part of the flim. Watch it full at Short Flim Facebook!

The following two short flims were found on Facebook. The first one was a cute love story and the other one was a touching one.

I think I might do the same like what the parents did in Passing Hearts. Imagine your child might be gone but his/her heart is pumping still like he/she was never gone..

THE LESSON OF VECTOR AND RASTER IMAGES

This was my first group exercise in my second year. Andrew arranged us into our groups and set us our first task to design an image to present the differences between Vector Graphics and Raster Graphics. I still didn't like the fact about vector graphics now, maybe I sitll didn't get use to Illustrator..

I knew three new friends and luckily we had someone good at Adobe Illustrator. I was impressed! We are new to each other but at least I know they are nice to be with.. Maybe group work is the best way to bond people huh?

DECIDING WHICH BOTTLE CITY

Noise had set me to make a difficult decision recently.
I was given the chance to choose the colour for my masterpiece
'cause they can't choose one from pink, blue and orange, they said.

But it wasn't easy to choose my favourite among the favourites.
Everyone of them were unique and hold a different mood,
though they were merely a pach of colours. Ha!

I've got some opinions from my friends and had the postcards in
hardcopy but it's still hard to decide!
P.S.: Thanks K'yun for the company today, I've got myself a really nice dress!

WORK IN PROGRESS - MOMO IN THE FOREST

Momo is actually from an adorable little model girl I saw the other day from the online spree where she gets to wear all kinds of fancy children's wear and have pictures taken! I thought I should start dressing up my characters now...
